The first three steps are about development platform selection: web, hybrid, and native.

Of course, not all enterprises progress in exactly these steps, but it is a pattern I’ve seen repeated. And sometimes you may have a responsive website that is also aimed at desktop users, so you may not make the progression for every app.

But it’s interesting to watch the progression of the disillusionment with the many promises by various industry factions.
