I was chatting with a friend on Facebook about Apple’s rumored iWatch, and he mentioned that nobody wears a watch anymore, so who’d buy an iWatch?
But then I thought about it some more. And I realized nobody makes phone calls anymore but everyone buys a smartphone.
So the iWatch isn’t a watch anymore than an iPhone is a phone. They’re both multipurpose devices marketed as replacements for existing devices, because that’s what people understand and are comfortable with.
